Windham Time Series Database Not Found

When starting the Windham Software, an error message: “Windham time series database not found” occurs.


A custom location (enterprise license) is used to specify the location of the Windham Time Series database. The location may be corrupt or the file (tsdocument-cache.xml) may not be at the specified location.

There are two options to approach this problem. We recommend that your IT department manage the following:

  1. Verify the custom folder and file location of the specified database location
  2. Reset the location of the Windham Time Series database back to it’s default location
    1. Edit the following registry key
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Windham Capital Management, LLC\Windham Portfolio Advisor\WPA\DataFiles\WindhamTimeSeries\UseDefaultWindhamTimeSeriesFolder
    2. Set the string value from False to True

  3. Restart the Windham Software
