Loading Custom Time Series Using The Windham Excel Add-on

The Windham Software ships with an Excel Add-on that can be used to create a custom Windham database as an alternative to the Time Series Utility. This add-on requires a working copy of Microsoft Excel 2003 or later on your machine.

Installation for Excel 2003

  1. Open Microsoft Excel 2003
  2. Locate the following file and double-click to open
    C:\Program Files\WIndham Capital Management, LLC\WPA\Document\TimeSeries\WPA Upload Data.xla
    • or download WPA Upload Data.zip
    • unzip the file to your hard disk and double-click on the xla file to open
  3. Affirm any subsequent prompts of installing this add-in
  4. Once the add-on is installed, you should see a “Windham” item in Excel’s menu bar

Installation for Excel 2007

  1. Locate the following file
    C:\Program Files\WIndham Capital Management, LLC\WPA\Document\TimeSeries\WPA Upload Data.xla
  2. Open Microsoft Excel 2007
  3. Go to Excel Options from the Office Button in the upper-left corner of Excel 2007
  4. Select the Add-Ins option
  5. Hit Go with the Manage Excel Add-ins selected from the drop down menu
  6. Browse and select the downloaded .xla file
  7. Affirm any subsequent prompts of installing this add-in
  8. Once the add-on is installed, you should see a “Windham” item in Excel’s Add-ins menu bar

Installation for Excel 2010

  1. Locate the following file
    C:\Program Files\WIndham Capital Management, LLC\WPA\Document\TimeSeries\WPA Upload Data.xla
  2. Open Microsoft Excel 2010
  3. Select File from the Ribbon in the upper left corner of the screen
  4. Select Options
  5. After selecting “Add-ins,” hit “Go.”
  6. Browse for and select: C:\Program Files\Windham Capital Management, LLC\WPA 3.0\WPA 30 Upload Data.xlam
  7. Affirm any subsequent prompts of installing this add-in
  8. Once the add-on is installed, you should see a “Windham” item in Excel’s Add-ins menu bar


Use the “Load time series” menu item to create a new custom database. See the help menu item for an example on how to proceed with the process.
