How to Use The Windham Time Series Utility

The Windham Software ships with a Time Series Utility application that can be used to manage custom Windham time series databases.

Adding a Time Series

  1. Click “Add”
  2. Define the time series parameters in the pop-up window

  3. Click “OK”
  4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 for each time series
    • There is a Windham Excel Add-in that enables simultaneous import of multiple time series from Excel
  5. Click “Next” and “OK” to save changes
  6. In “Go To Add Date:”, input the start date of the longest time series and click “Go”
  7. In Excel, highlight all time series data and copy
    • include blank cells but do not include dates or time series names

  8. Go back to the Time Series Utility application
  9. Click on the cell in the grid that corresponds to the upper left cell in Excel
  10. Click “Paste From Excel”
  11. Confirm that the time series populates the tool
  12. Click “Finish”
  13. Click “Yes”
  14. Launch the Windham Software and select the custom time series database from the “Locate Custom Time Series” menu
